Meet Candy, Lindsay, Tiffany, and Michael. We are four smarty-pants college students enrolled in English 328, at Eastern Michigan University. We will be investigating and critiquing search engines. Each of the four members of our group chose a favorite search engine, and then went about the task of testing and critiquing. After all, who would be better qualified to critique the tools of the web, than four college seniors who have been pouring over the web with blood, sweat, and tears? We rated each page based on 9 criteria that we felt were important to a successful search engine, and then assigned a rating to each criteria (1-10, 10 being the best). Here's what we found...
